Restorative Yoga with Rae

This is a gentle, therapeutic style of Yoga that uses props to support the body and deepen the benefits of the poses. It differs from the yang style of yoga in that you pay attention to ‘letting go’ to the support around your body so that your muscles can be utterly relax rather than ‘holding’ postures by contracting your muscles to create certain shapes and poses. It is soothing and nurturing practice that promotes the effects of conscious relaxation in the body and ultimately in the mind. All levels welcome!

Yoga for Grief with Alison Wesley - Saturday, January 21st from 2-5 pm

$30 if pre-registered, $35 day of
Loss is something we all experience everyday: from the misplacing of our keys to the reminder of our past selves to our memories of loved ones who are no longer in this world. Yoga teaches us that through practice and through understanding the way the mind works, we can acknowledge and experience loss from a place of center.

In this three-hour workshop we will learn pranayama (breathing), asana (postures), and meditation  to work with the intense emotion of loss. We will also discuss Yogic philosophy and the Five Kleshas according the Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.

This subject is very near and dear to my heart and I know firsthand how helfpul Yoga can be during times of grief. This will be my seventh time holding this workshop and will be accessible for all levels of Yoga practitioner.  Journals will be provided.

Registration is suggested to reserve a spot. Please email laura@believemovementstudio.com to sign up.

If you cancel within 24 hours of the workshop, you will receive a 50% refund.

Yoga for the Lower Back (Mar 31st)
Yoga for the Shoulders and Neck (April 21)

*$100 to register for all four workshops (strongly encouraged!) or $30/workshop if pre-registered, $35 day of

Just as we construct the buildings in which we live from the ground up, we will work to build stability and ease in the body from the ground up. When these areas are all working together, there is a harmoniums balance of energies. Corresponding to the Tantric Chakra system, these areas act as channels: absorbing/circulating energy and connecting our most primitive self to our highest self.

In each three-hour workshop we will learn Yogic practices to ease pain and misalignment to these common places of tension - in asana and in daily life. All levels are welcome.

Registration is suggested to reserve a spot. Please email laura@believemovementstudio.com to sign up.
